Council to launch new, device-responsive website

Council to launch new, device-responsive website

Technology has advanced notably since the current South African Pharmacy Council website was developed; the world moved from feature phones to smartphones operated on software technology with better capabilities – enabling these phones to do as much as computers could do but on smaller screens. The realisation that some of our stakeholder’s attempts to reach us through their phones and tablets were not successful informed the decision to develop a device-responsive information portal.

At a time where the outgoing Council is handing over to the incoming Council and we are wrapping up 2018 and preparing for 2019, it seems appropriate timing for launching the new and improved South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) website. The new website is cleaner, fresher and more user-friendly. It has been developed to have minimal compatibility issues with the various devices and systems used to access the site.

With online applications, payment options and continuing professional development (CPD) processes, the new website is the ultimate one-stop platform for all your interactions with the SAPC. In order to simplify matters, each category of registered persons now has its own menu and platform. For example, this enables interns to find all relevant information to intern registration and CPD activities directly from within the intern menu without having to wade through dozens of pages.

The new site goes live on 10 December 2018. Don’t fret! The secure part of the website is still the same as it always has been, only now it is more easily accessible.

All news, events, relevant documentation and new legislation will be uploaded onto our website as and when relevant. If you have any problems accessing the new site, please feel free to contact us on 0861 72 72 00.
