Online applications MANDATORY for Tutors, Interns, CSPs and Pharmacists after CSP registrations for 2015

One of Council’s primary strategies is to adopt a Go Green approach in the way it conducts business undertakings. One way this is being achieved (and saving trees in the process!) is through automating everyday business processes. Online applications for tutor approval, internship, community service pharmacists, and pharmacists upon completion of CSP are mandatory from 2015.

Please note that from 1 December 2014 NO manual applications will be accepted for the following categories:

  • BPharm student
  • Interns
  • Community Service Pharmacists
  • Tutors
  • Premises
  • Shortcoming letters

The new online services being phased in bring a host of benefits to Council, the profession and stakeholders.

To submit these applications online:

  1. You will need access to the internet
  2. Go to www.sapc.za.org
  3. Go to “Registered persons click here”
  4. Go to “Request a password” if you do not have a password or have forgotten your password

Registration as a pharmacist intern

Application must be submitted online as soon as you receive sms confirmation that you are released.

You will have to go online and upload with your application:

  1. Certified copy of the original signed SAPC internship contract entered into by and between yourself and the tutor
  2. Certified copy of the qualification in pharmacy (BPharm) if qualified prior to 2013
  3. Academic interns – please note:
    • documentary evidence that you have registered with a provider of qualification in pharmacy (university) for a course in study which will lead to at least a master’s degree
    • full particulars of the proposed postgraduate study or research to be undertaken
  4. Registration fee: R1,867.40 (VAT incl).
Please note: Credit Card payments are processed faster than EFT/Bank Deposit payments
  5. Please ensure you know the Y-number of the facility where you are going to do your internship (follow this link  to utilise the search functionality on the council’s website)

Foreign graduates should follow the manual process – please note: a copy of a valid endorsement certificate from NDoH foreign workforce is required.
